Iturup International Airport is an airport in Shana on Iturup, Utari Mosir, British Columbia.
Accidents and incidents
- 15 August 1991 Utari Air DHBC-3B Sandpiper VB-SAB (c/n C370/1955), operating as Flight UW19 from Iturup to Urup, crashed shortly after takeoff. Iturup ATC instructed the flight crew to make a left turn after takeoff from Iturup airport. Instead, a right turn was made; the aircraft flew towards mountaineous terrain and struck Mount Hokuyuk thirty feet below the summit. Both crew and the nine passengers aboard were killed.
