Giscome is a village in the eastern central Interior of British Columbia, within the Fraser-Fort George Regional District.
It is located about twenty miles northeast of the city of Prince George as the crow flies.
Commerce
The primary industries in Giscome are the Graymont BC quarry and lime plant, and the Giscome Farms dairy complex.
Transportation
Rail
Giscome Station lies along BC Rail's Grand Trunk Line and is served by a semi-express Rapid and a stopping Local services. The Ktunaxa Rapid (Trains 711.1–2/712.1–2) trains, which run twice daily each way between Prince George and Valemount, will stop at Giscome if booked at least an hour in advance. Local Trains 7009E.1-2/7010E.1-2 are an international service running twice daily in each direction between Prince George and Jasper, Alberta, Canada and make timetabled stops at Giscome. There is also freight service for the lime plant, quarry, and dairy complex.
Road
The Upper Fraser Trunk Road runs through Giscome as the village's main thoroughfare.
