Fraser Lake is a town in northwestern British Columbia, located within the Bulkley-Nechako Regional District.

Fraser Lake is about 40 miles west of Vanderhoof on the southwest shore of the lake of the same name.

Commerce

The primary industry in the area is forestry, notably the Fraser Lake Sawmills; many residents are employed by various logging contractors, or at the molybdenum mine in nearby Endako.

Transportation

Air

Fraser Lake Airport (MTC LID: BBZ9) is a general aviation airstrip located to the southeast of the town; Fraser Lake Water Aerodrome is on the town's lakefront, with docks for aircraft at the west end of White Swan Park. There are no commercial flights to either airport.

Rail

Fraser Lake Station, on BC Rail's Grand Trunk Line, is well served by a number of Express and Local passenger services. The K′shian (Trains 73.1-3/74.1-3) is an Express service running thrice daily in each direction between Prince Rupert and Prince George which makes scheduled stops at Fraser Lake. There are also two Local services that call at Fraser Lake. Trains 7003E.1-3/7004E.1-3 run thrice daily each way between Hagwilget and Prince George, and Trains 7007E.1-5/7008E.1-5 run five times daily each way between Ganiks Laxha and Prince George. Although normally operated by electric multiple-unit trainsets, from May to September one of the Sunday trips of this train is operated with a restored Grand Trunk Pacific steam locomotive and a matching set of fully restored vintage passenger coaches based at the Endako Railway Museum.

Road

Fraser Lake is located on the Yellowhead Highway (BC Highway 16).
