Campbell River is a city on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. It is the seat of the Strathcona Regional District.
Some of the land within the city limits of Campbell River is not part of the city, but form non-contiguous exclaves of Indigenous Administrative Districts (IADs). Weywakum and Quinsam, belonging to the Kwakwewlth District IAD (of which the former is the district seat), and Xwémałkwu (seat of the Naut′sa mawt Nation IAD) are effectively indistinguishable (other than street signs, etc) suburbs of the city, but not administratively part of it.

Air
Campbell River has two airports with scheduled commercial flights. Campbell River Airport (IATA: XCB, ICAO: BCCR), located in Xwémalhkwu, is the main hub for Vancouver Island Air, along with whom Air BC, Cascadia Air, Pacific Coastal Airlines, and Pacific Western Airlines offer scheduled services to Vancouver, Victoria, and numerous other locations on Vancouver Island and the South Coast. Campbell River Harbour Airport (IATA: XHC, ICAO: BCCH, MTC LID: BAE3) is the main hub of Corilair; Seair and Vancouver Island Air also offer scheduled domestic flights from the harbour. There are three private heliports in the city: the Campbell River & District Hospital Heliport (MTC LID: BAT6), the E & B Helicopters heliport (MTC LID: BCR6), and the Sealand Aviation heliport (MTC LID: BSL4).
Rail
Campbell River is served by both BC Rail and the RBCN Railway. It is the northern terminus of the former's Central Coast Line and the southern terminus of the latter's Port Hardy Trunk Line; the two railways operate Campbell River Station jointly.
Both companies offer a number of passenger services to and from Campbell River; most notable of these is the Pacific Coast Limited, a Limited Express service operated jointly by BC Rail and the RBCN Railway running between Victoria and Prince Rupert, with a daily morning departure from each end. BC Rail operate two daily trips in each direction between Nanaimo and Campbell River (Trains 1105.1-2/1106.1-2), whilst RBCNR have two services that call at Campbell River: a twice-daily Local service between Campbell River and Port Hardy with through cars to/from Tahsis (Trains L1/L2, L3/L4), and a once-daily Mixed service between Campbell River and Quatsino (Trains M7/M8).

Road
The Island Highway (BC Highway 19) runs through Campbell River. The section of the old alignment of the Island Highway known as the Oceanside Highway (BC Highway 19A) has its northern terminus in Campbell River, in a three-way junction with Highway 19 and the Gold River Highway (BC Highway 28).

Baseball
Campbell River Boomers are the town's representatives in the British Columbia Baseball League, playing at Nunns Creek Park, with a capacity of 1,960 spectators.
Rugby
Campbell River Phoenix RFC, an amateur side affiliated with the BC Rugby Union, play at the Dogwood Street stadium, which has a capacity of 2,362.
