Alert Bay is a village on Cormorant Island in the Broughton Archipelago of British Columbia, located within the Mount Waddington Regional District.
The village occupies approximately the eastern third of the island.

Alert Bay Airport (IATA: XAY, ICAO: BCAB) is an airstrip in the northeastern part of the village, on the east end of the island. Island Express Air offer scheduled flights to Abbotsford, Nanaimo, and Victoria, whilst Vancouver Island Air provide a scheduled service to Campbell River.
Alert Bay Water Aerodrome (MTC LID: BBC3) is a general aviation seaplane base at the east end of the island.
Road
A scheduled bus service connects Alert Bay to Yalis on the west side of the island.
Ship
BC Ferries operate a ferry service to Port McNeill via Sointula on Malcolm Island; there is also a scheduled passenger-only ferry directly to Port McNeill.
